Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The ceremony will be aired from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
